Passover Greetings – Proper English and Hebrew Passover Greetings

No Gravatar

Recently many have asked… “What is the appropriate greeting to use on Passover / Pesach.  There are quite a few.

NOTE: Pesach is Hebrew for Passover

English Passover Greetings

  • Happy Passover

Hebrew Passover Greetings

  • Happy Pesach — Happy Passover
  • Gut Yomtov — Happy Holiday
    •  Response — Gut Yomtov, Gut Yohr — Happy Holiday, Happy Year
  • Chag Sameach — Happy Holiday
  • Chag Pesach Sameach — Happy Passover
  • Chag Kasher V’Same’ach — Wishing you a Happy and Kosher Holiday
  • Chag Kashruth Pesach — Happy Kosher Passover or Happy Kosher Pesach

Hope this list of English and Passover Greetings is helpful.  If it were me, I would choose the greeting appropriate to the recipient.  In other words…  if the person understands Hebrew use a Hebrew one, if not… you may want to use either Happy Passover, Happy Pesach or Chag Pesach Sameach.

If you have any English or Hebrew Passover Greetings to add, feel free to comment below.

If you have any suggestions, comments, or corrective criticisms I would love to hear those as well.

Chag Pesach Sameach in advance,

Roz Fruchtman

No Gravatar

At sundown this evening, Sunday April 7, 2013 Yom HaShoah (also known as Holocaust Remembrance Day) begins.  Yom HaShoah is celebrated on Monday, April 8, 2013, but begins the evening before at sunset.

Yom HaShoah is the day – each year – set aside to remember the 6 million Jews who perished during the Holocaust.

In my small way, each year, in order to honor and pay tribute to those lost, I offer a selection of FREE Yom HaShoah eCards (Holocaust Remembrance Day eCards) that may be sent complimentary from my Judaic eCards website. (SayItWithEcards.com)

Say It With eCards is generally a fee-based site, but it’s a gift and privilege to be able to break my own rules to show humility, humanity and charity for one and all!

FREE Holocaust Remembrance Day eCards can be found here:

Say It With eCards offers the largest selection of Passover eCards on the web.  These eCards are exclusive to the Say It With eCards website and your recipients WILL IMMEDIATELY notice they are NOT the run-of-the-mill Pesach eCards everyone else is sending!

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE…

BELOW are the DIRECT LINKS to the Say It With eCards Passover eCards collection ~ Separated into SEVEN categories.

DID YOU KNOW…

  • You can “program your eCards in advance?”  This is a fantastic time saver as you can do it when you have extra moments here and there.
  • You can send your eCards at the last second.  History has shown, year after year that people wait until the very last second to send their holiday eCards.  Why?  Because they can!
