Sweetest Day - The Mystery of It All!
Today, October 18, 2008 is “Sweetest Day!”
Since I deal in feelings and design eCards, it disturbs me that hardly anyone knows about Sweetest Day!
Maybe it should appear on our calendars. Hmm… Who does one call to get a holiday added to our calendars? Anyone?
It just seems to me… with all the doom, gloom, genuine fear, fear tactics, etc. flying around these days… it would be nice to have something cheerful and pleasant to celebrate!
While we should do this everyday…
What better day than “Sweetest Day” to tell those who have been “sweet” to us how much we appreciate them. Now, there are many versions of sweet - kind, patient, helpful, thoughtful, caring, you can add your own to the list. In fact, comment here and share them with all of us.
“I, Roz… appreciate YOU!!! YOU are sweet!”

Sweetest Day eCards… IF You Do Not Have The Words, Let Say It With eCards Greetings Say It For You!
Today, Saturday October 18, 2008 is Sweetest Day…
Coming from a family who rarely offered a kind word, any encouragement or emotional support or stability… Sweetest Day and its meaning is NOT lost on me! What about you?
Sweetest Day is one of the official times to say how much you care. IF you do not have the words, “your Say It With eCards Greeting will say it for you!”
Sweetest Day is even more important in the uncertain times we are presently experiencing.
Consider this… “Your Sweetest Day eCard could be the light at the end of an otherwise dreary day!” While this might sound silly, there IS a lot of loneliness going on right about now as people are trying to figure out what to do!
Say It With eCards not only offers eCards for traditional Jewish holidays, events and occasions, but also focuses on those universal / national holidays and days of acknowledgement that most celebrate. Thus, Say It With eCards offers Judaic Themed Sweetest Day eCards.
As a bonus… Those Non-Jewish holidays I can tastefully design for are usually designed in both Judaic and Generic / NON-Judaic Themes. I do this so members are not inconvenienced when they have a Non-Jewish recipient.

Free July 4th eCards - Roz Remembers What Freedom Really Means
July 4th / Independence Day carries such a heavy message of celebration — especially in today’s world. I believe for those of us (including myself) who took our independence and freedom for granted… 911 / September 11, 2001 was a huge wake-up call.
Before I came to the web all those years ago… I never really understood, or maybe understood is an understated word… I just never considered or took notice of what the Patriotic Holidays and Events really stood for - REALLY STOOD FOR!
That all changed when I researched my very first Patriotic website: Memorial Day in CyberSpace.
I met and communicated with those who served and also visited tribute pages of POWs/MIAs and those who paid the ultimate price. It was a gut wrenching experience, but it brought it all home to me — forever.
As I researched I visited website after website. These were real people. They were someone’s loved ones… children, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, fathers, grandfathers, grandmothers, etc. etc. I never looked at a Patriotic Holiday quite the same way after that. I realized just how real it was and how those who fought were real people even though they were not my blood relatives. They are my relatives by country!
Then came 911… Another rude awakening - the worst ever!
I was personally trapped in Manhattan that day. I had to walk miles to get out of the city as the entire borough and all surrounding areas were locked down. Buses passed us by, we had no way out and had no real idea of what was going on, except it was VERY BAD and we needed to GET HOME QUICKLY. But there was no way!
Strangers were helping strangers, I remember walking and walking and walking some more — in those days I was not used to walking as I am today!
I remember wondering if I was going to die walking, I remember wondering where the police were, why was the Mayor not doing anything to help, why did we not know what was going on! Little did I know… they were all down at the World Trade Center!
It was like a movie, but this time I was in it! I wondered how it was going to end! I had nothing to compare this horror with! I was petrified I was going to die… walking with all these strangers… no one would know where any of us was!
THEN… when I finally did get home… I put the TV on and saw the Twin Towers fall over and over and over and over again - a picture I will never forget, it all came home to me once and for all.
All those looking for loved ones, all those who were lost, and then the police, ems workers, firefighters, etc. who risk their lives everyday for us… who run into burning buildings while others run out. It can’t get much more real than that. My heart breaks for those who are lost and worse yet for those left behind to pick up the pieces.
Why am I going on and on about this when the title of this entry is Free July 4th eCards, because July 4th / Independence Day is what this is all about. We live in a country where we can do what we want/when we want… as long as we do not hurt anyone and we do not break the law. That gives us a lot of freedom. We have freedom of speech, freedom to worship, freedom to start business, etc.
I want to do my part to help people celebrate. Therefore, Say It With eCards is providing a way for Non Say It With eCards Judaic Greetings Club members to send specially designed Judaic Themed Independence Day eCards / Judaic Themed July 4th eCards.
Ok, no more chatter. Here are the links:
