Sunday, June 8, 2008 - Erev Shavuot

Dear Say It With eCards Holiday Newsletter Members:

As always… I hope you and yours are enjoying the weekend.

Here in NYC, it is sunny and hot.  But such a lovely day to be alive and consider all of life’s blessings - both big and small.

June is a busy month for holidays, both Judaic and Universal — Shavuot, Flag Day and Father’s Day.
Newsletter Topics

– Life is So Fragile
– Shavuot - Monday June 9, 2008
– Flag Day - Saturday June 14
– Father’s Day - Sunday, June 15, 2008
– Upcoming Holidays / Rosh Hashanah Update

– Need Help / Have Questions / Suggestions, etc.
– Thank You

Life is So Fragile

With each passing day we become more and more aware of how fragile life is. We just need to turn on the TV, listen to our favorite News Show and even in our own daily lives.  It has become more painfully evident how true these saying are: “Here one minute, gone the next,” or, “In the blink of an eye!”

For this reason I have become even more aware of the “Power of Now!”  How we need to “communicate in-the-moment” and NOT wait until tomorrow, the next holiday, event or occasion.

For these reasons, I believe eCards are more important than ever! I see them as missiles of love, caring and communication, traveling through CyberSpace to their intended recipients.  Even a quick hello can brighten up an otherwise dreary day!

Enough of the morbid…   Let’s move on to June’s Happy Holidays and Events.

Shavuot — Monday, June 9, 2008 (starts tonight at sundown)

Shavuot is not only known as the Pentecost, Feast of Weeks, but also the time at which G-d gifted the Torah — the guide to how we live our lives — to the Jewish People at Mount Sinai.

Flag Day — Saturday, June 14, 2008

For those living in American.  Flag Day is a Day to Honor and Pay Tribute to the great Flag of the United States of America.

This is a fabulous time to reach out and keep in touch.  No matter how we may feel about the war ourselves, we still have to remember our boys and girls who are in harms way each day (24/7) fighting to protect our freedom, liberty and justice for all.  Worse yet are the ones who paid the ultimate price or became maimed in the line of duty.  And let us not forget the families left behind to carry on.

Father’s Day — Sunday, June 15, 2008

Father’s Day is not only for Father’s, but Husbands/Significant Others, Fathers-in-Law, Brothers, Brothers-in-Law, Uncles, Friends, Business Associates, etc. etc.

Say It With eCards offers a vast section of Father’s Day eCards in a number of categories, as well as English, Hebrew and Non-Judaic versions for your Non-Jewish recipients.
